Regional Account Manager, AHUS, Los Angeles C, CA
Location: (Field) This is what you will do: The Regional Account Manager (RAM) position is within our Hematology and Nephrology Franchise, a division of Alexion, and will focus on AHUS. The RAM will be assigned a sales territory focused on Academic Centers, Community Hospital Systems, Physician Clinics, and Infusion Centers primarily focused on Nephrology and Hematology. This individual would be responsible for the growth and expansion of the AHUS portfolio. You will be responsible for: Consistently achieving or exceeding sales objectives in assigned territory Creating and maintaining strategically targeted account-specific business plans that reflect an in-depth understanding of local market forces impacting product sales Developing and maintaining strong in-depth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge Collaborating closely with internal cross-functional stakeholders The ability to handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology Demonstrating the ability to educate on the clinical approach to specific disease states Being trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in hospital and infusion center environments Leading the implementation for our patient-centric partnership model Effectively utilizing CRM tools to manage time, resources and workload The execution of local promotional activities and programs for therapeutic areas Providing a high level of product expertise and customer service Proactively interacting with Alexion management to refine product and market initiatives Performing work in alignment with and adhering to all Alexion's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Alexion policies and procedures You will need to have: Bachelor's degree 5 years pharmaceutical sales or equivalent experience Proven, documented track record for delivering consistent, 'Top-tier' sales results Ability to work independently as well as interdependently in a team-oriented environment Strong clinical acumen and account-based selling, analytical and strategic skills Demonstrated ability to seek out and qualify leads and profile new accounts Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities Must live in the geographic territory or live within 50 miles Ability to travel within territory on a regular basis Valid driver's license and clean driving record We would prefer for you to have: Advanced or master's degree Sales experience in the orphan or ultra-orphan area Bio/Pharma; Nephrology, and/or Oncology experience The annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,813 to $229,219. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
