August 16th) are the key to providing an exciting, energetic, and positive experience for the campers. In this role, you would be responsible for assisting with carrying out each day's events, which can include instruction periods, clinics, contests, recreation events, and more. Adult Camp Coach / Counselors will be required to think ahead to properly plan events, as well as staying on task to properly execute each event. Additional responsibilities could include: Park Patrol, campus cleanup, dirt maintenance, and/or assisting behind the Canteen counter. This role will be responsible for the safety, vibe, and cleanliness of the Action Sports facilities around camp. Adult Camp Coach / Counselors need to make sure campers are acting responsibly and respectfully to others and using the facility in a safe manner. They will be responsible for upholding energy within the park and for the cleanliness of the facility. BENEFITS & COMPENSATION: Daily Meals Provided (During Camp) Lodging Benefits Discounts on merchandise 16.50 an hour This position is classified under California's Camp Counselor exemption (LAB 1182.4 and Wage Order 5). Employees are paid a weekly salary of 85% of their hourly rate for hours worked between 40-54 hours per week or will be paid at 85% of their hourly rate for each hour worked if the employee works less than 40 hours per week. Any hours worked over 54 will be paid at overtime rates, in accordance with California labor law. All other applicable deductions will be applied. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS: Preferred 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens Experience working in a camp environment is preferred High school degree or equivalent preferred Experience in action sports coaching preferred Health and Safety Certifications Well-spoken and articulate over the phone, through written contact, and in person. Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly. Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable handling confidential information.
