Job Summary: The University Outdoor Enhancement Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, improvement, and beautification of outdoor spaces on the university campus. This role is vital in creating a welcoming, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Outdoor Enhancement Specialist will focus on enhancing outdoor patio spaces, outdoor lighting, and pressure washing, contributing to the overall appeal and functionality of the university's outdoor areas. Pay Range: $17.25- $18.37 per hour Actual salary offered is determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources. Internal Classification: Career Track - Support; Job Level - 1 Job Status: Full time Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Design, maintain, and repair outdoor patio spaces (chairs/tables/umbrellas), ensuring they are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and safe for university staff, students, and visitors. Maintain and repair decorative lighting fixtures. Perform regular pressure washing and routine floor scrubbing (machine), to remove dirt and stains from various outdoor surfaces, preserving their appearance and integrity. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and project progress. Promote and implement sustainable practices, incorporating environmentally friendly materials and methods. Ensure compliance with safety standards and guidelines in outdoor enhancement projects. Provide exceptional customer service to university stakeholders by maintaining well-kept, inviting outdoor spaces. Coordinate with grounds team members and maintenance staff to maintain a cohesive outdoor environment. Qualifications: No professional experience needed Basic knowledge of using tools and equipment specific to the role A proactive and enthusiastic attitude toward teamwork and learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Organizational and record-keeping abilities. Has the ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision Computer Skills - Data entry, Microsoft Office experience Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Stamina and endurance for prolonged outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
