IT Applications Administrator
BWXT is currently seeking an IT Applications Administrator for its Erwin, TN location! The IT Applications Administrator position is a part of the IT department and is responsible for the management of the entire life cycle of selected purchased applications. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Defines and implements best practice architectures and installations. Installs and configures software. Troubleshoots and problem solves for technical issues. Collaborates with the business to define best practice for business processes defined/configured in the software. Manages projects for purchased software. Defines application integration requirements/specifications and manages test acceptance of integrations. Manages test processes. Develops and maintains working relationship with software vendor, to include upgrades, licensing, bugs and issues. Coordinates within IT organization, operation and security needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology or a related field plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent plus ten (10) years of relevant experience. Must have technical proficiency in windows environment with preference for the following: Microsoft Windows Server and Client Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft SQL Server Web architectures
IIS/WebSphere configuration Must have previous experience installing and managing enterprise software. Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q and NRC U clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with access control, alarming and video systems is a plus. Pay: $63,000 - $99,000 The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
