The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Hospitalist

Aurora, MN & Virginia, MN Aurora, MN & Virginia, MN PRACTICE SPECIFICS: The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients age 18+. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. Role Specifics: The Hospitalist group is a small team of employees with a good working relationship. The ideal candidate will have a hospital-based background, Adult Geriatric Acute Care certification, in addition to ACLS certification. Anticipated Work Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts: 0700-1900 shift

no nights/no call. Typical 7-day on, 7-day off schedule throughout the year. Flexible scheduling. Holidays: Yes Average Daily Census in Virginia hospital = 26 Average Daily Census in Deer River hospital = 8 Preferred qualifications: Physician Assistant, Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner with experience. Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Licensure/Certifications Required: Current licensure as a registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota or current licensure as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR and ACLS National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
