Image Archivist
Reporting to the Digital Archive and Program Manager, the Image Archivist will be part of a global team responsible for stewarding digital image files for a wide-range of gallery uses. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask, work both independently and collaboratively, with superb communication and organization skills, and an eye for detail. The Image Archivist will oversee post-production photo responsibilities for New York and contribute to the digital asset management system. Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Overseeing the post-production photo process. Quality controlling incoming image assets from artist studios, freelancers, and in-house photographers. Monitoring project management systems to ensure imaging projects are on schedule. Ingesting new assets into the gallery's digital asset management system; assigning known metadata. Fulfilling internal image requests, for example: creating to-scale digital art mock-ups, exhibition model chips, and poster facsimiles in Photoshop; coordinating photography. Advancing digital workflow tools, and production procedural guides. Submitting invoices and maintaining expense reports. Making and monitoring the Imaging Department supply orders. Ad hoc projects as assigned. Qualifications For The Role
13 years experience of relevant work. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. Background in Art History, preferred. Post-production experience. Project management experience; ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at once. Experience with digital asset management systems and project management systems is a plus, but not required. Must be discrete and able to manage confidential material.
