Title: Banquet Set Up Lead Location: Snowbird Status: Full-time, Hourly. Seasonal (May-October), with the potential to be year-round. Schedule: Variable Shifts vary, maybe early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels. Irregular hours, late shifts, shifts that are added and dropped at the last minute. Banquet functions can change due to guest requests - additional hours, start earlier, and end earlier than scheduled. Summary

As a Banquet Set Up Lead you will supervise a team to set up and tear down all events according to Banquet Event Orders and Conference Operations standards. Outside of events, you will oversee maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all event spaces front and back of house. What You'll Do

Lead a team of 1-5 set up crew members to perform daily tasks in a timely and effective manner. Responsible for the correct placement of tables, chairs, water services, etc. for meetings, meal functions, and special events in a safe and accommodating manner. Clean and maintain all conference areas, including storage and staging areas to Conference Operations standards. Thoroughly maintain all conference equipment by doing daily/nightly walk-throughs. Responsible for the care and upkeep of all Conference Operations assets including the repair of damaged equipment. Leads staff with a positive attitude making sure all tasks are completed within Snowbird's health and safety guidelines and Conference Operations Standards. What You Need To Get The Job Done

Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Food Handlers Permit. Must have a valid driver license. 1 years' experience in conference set up or something similar. Supervisory experience in a labor-intensive type of position. Ability to lead a team with minimal structure/routine. Must be able to apply basic math skills when setting up rooms for events. Computer experience with excel and word would be an advantage. Must have strong attention to detail during initial set up and review of room layout. Work Schedule

Shifts vary, maybe early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels. Examples of shifts may include 2pm-10pm or 5pm-1am. Scheduling is based on business demands. Working Conditions

You must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures. May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird. Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to walk around the entire resort and work at altitude. Work may be outdoors and may require exposure to cold or heat and other extreme weather conditions. Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise. Stress may occur for several reasons: Quick turns in meeting rooms, client's request to change previously agreed upon room set, large physical demand, constantly changing environment, deadlines of events, attention to detail indoors and out.
