This position reports to the Plant Manager and is part of the site senior management team located in Deland, FL and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead daily operations and off-shift coverage using the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive lean conversion and meet customer requirements. Implement and sustain lean principles to maximize value stream performance across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Manage cost, schedule, inventory, and quality while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Drive daily management processes, reporting countermeasures and problem-solving data to site leadership. Maintain a safe work environment aligned with OSHA and company policies, ensuring proper use and upkeep of safety equipment. Supervise and prioritize tasks for direct report supervisors and manufacturing associates with minimal oversight. Develop and optimize work cells using cross-functional roles, Kanban systems, and real-time process data; contribute to capital planning for equipment and facilities. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline with 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, or an AAS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Proven experience supporting manufacturing product value streams, including cost, quality, and delivery performance. Proficiency in Lean and structured problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, Voice of the Customer, benchmarking, QFD, control charts, and standardized work. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in dynamic manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective, measurable solutions. Hands-on experience leading continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards, including OSHA regulations. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: A certified practitioner in lean tools.
