Subrogation Professional

We are seeking an experienced subrogation professional. The candidate for this position will be responsible for investigating, negotiating, and resolving, primarily, workers compensation subrogation claims. Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability and subrogation potential. Gather evidence and collaborate with internal and external parties to build a strong subrogation case. Negotiate settlements with responsible parties, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to recover funds for the company. Provide guidance and support to claims adjusters and other team members in subrogation-related matters. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all subrogation activities, including correspondence, negotiations, and settlements. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to subrogation claims handling. Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to workers' compensation and subrogation. Participate in mediations, depositions, and litigation support as necessary. Knowledge of tort law and arbitration forums' rules and regulations. Knowledge of bodily injury and property damage claims. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with claimants, insurance representatives, and attorneys. Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to keep pace with a high volume of work. Proficient with Adobe, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Education requirement: High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred. Two years claim adjusting or subrogation handling experience. Completion of, or working toward, AIC, CPCU, SCLA, CSRP or similar designation preferred.
