As a new graduate nurse, you'll participate in the SSM Health Nurse Residency Program, designed to support your transition into professional practice with: Monthly, four-hour virtual classes over a 12-month period A supportive network of graduate nurses across the system Confidence-building through knowledge, collaboration, and guided practice Eligibility: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Eligible to practice as determined by State Board of Nursing One year or less of RN experience Compensation & Benefits: Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 (paid on the first paycheck) Schedule: Full-time Shift Options: 7:00 AM

Exclusions may apply. Job Summary: As a pre-licensure graduate nurse, you'll provide care under the supervision of an RN while participating in the New Graduate Residency Program. You'll help care for patients with a wide variety of medical needs in an acute hospital setting. Key Responsibilities: Perform delegated tasks based on your competence and education Conduct patient assessments: biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural Help develop and implement patient/family education plans Accurately document care and physician orders per policy Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams Participate in training and fulfill competency requirements Follow ANA Code of Ethics and SSM's professional practice standards Remain alert and perform duties in a safe manner Perform other responsibilities as assigned Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing For Illinois applicants: must have official NCLEX passing results Experience: No experience required Required Licenses & Certifications: All States: Basic Life Support (BLS)
American Heart Association Plus, by State: Illinois: Future RN license (within 6 months of graduation)
IDFPR OR NCLEX fail status within 3 months Missouri: Future RN license (within 6 months)
MO Board of Nursing OR Compact State OR NCLEX fail status within 3 months Oklahoma: Future RN license (within 6 months)
OK Board of Nursing OR Compact State OR NCLEX fail status within 3 months Wisconsin: Future RN license (within 6 months)
