Senior Program Coordinator, Department Support, University Registrar

Boston University's Office of the University Registrar is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Senior Program Coordinator to support core functions that uphold the integrity of academic records and contribute to student success. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Registrar, this position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate maintenance of student records and compliance with university, state, and federal policies. The Senior Program Coordinator will support key areas such as enrollment, registration, academic records, degree conferral, academic scheduling, and transcript processing. This individual will work relatively independently and be cross-trained to provide support across various registrar functions, particularly during peak operational periods. Key responsibilities include: Maintain and update student academic records in the student information system. Interpret and apply university and regulatory policies to resolve complex student and academic issues. Respond to student and staff inquiries via email and workflow ticketing systems. Review applications for degree conferral and evaluate student records for completion of academic requirements. Process transcript requests and manage transcript-related inquiries. About the organization: The Office of the University Registrar is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). It supports the instructional and student progress endeavors of Boston University by providing quality services to students, faculty, academic and administrative departments, and the public. We supervise registration and the evaluation of transfer credit, maintain student academic records and record grades, issue transcripts, verify enrollment and graduation, issue diplomas, assign classrooms, produce the class schedule, schedule final examinations, and oversee production of the Bulletin and the Degree Advice system.
