We are currently seeking an Area HSE Director to add to our HSE team. This is a market sector-based program management and leadership role that requires a high level of passion, commitment, and dedication to the health and well-being of others. The ideal candidate will have education, training, and experience in the fields commensurate with the desired position. This includes Subject Matter Expert level experience with behavior-based programs and concepts, training, injury management, program development, personnel management, leadership development, site management, supervisor engagement, client interaction, management counsel, injury care, and other HSE experience that may not be listed here. Responsibilities Provide technical and behavioral leadership and guidance to the assigned projects and the HSE Department. Lead and support development and implementation of HSE management systems that support Nox Group needs, including corporate initiatives, programs, and policies. Lead and support development and implementation of HSE management systems that support the market sector needs. These will include developing site-specific plans and programs. Support the trade partner qualification and approval process. Provide timely and accurate reporting with internal and external support including, but not limited to, claims processing, return to work, light duty assignment, closure of claims, and resolving discrepancies as needed. Maintain expert knowledge and ensure assigned projects' compliance with all applicable legislative, client, and Nox policies and procedures. Aid and support leadership and management training initiatives. Develop HSE training for the assigned projects as needed. Support and/or facilitate Level 3 incident investigations and incident report(s). Lead or participate in management and safety meetings. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications A minimum of 10 years of construction HSE experience preferred, 6 years in an HSE management role with medium to large projects (multi-project management experience a plus Advanced understanding of all aspects of HSE management, including workers comp, disciplinary action, subcontractor management, environmental management, personnel development, law, policies, client management, etc., Advanced knowledge of behavior-based safety and human performance initiatives, Capable of providing HSE management for large projects (>750 employees) or multiple midsize projects. Ability to manage multiple project HSE teams, Thorough understanding of construction work practices. Thorough understanding of contracts and subcontracts. Ability to develop HSE personnel under your supervision. Ability to positively motivate others and establish a positive and professional rapport with all employees, other site personnel, and customers. Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time. Site locations include AZ, NM and TX. Education & Certifications CHST, OHST, ASP (BCSP), CSD (NASP), or BS of OSH CSP or SMS (BCSP), or MSP (NASP), Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of OSHA standards and any other applicable regulations CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Safety Level
