1st Shift Seasonal Warehouse Forklift Operator

Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements. Seneca Foods Corporation in Geneva, NY is seeking 2nd Shift Seasonal Warehouse Forklift Operators for its 2025 Pack Season (mid-July to December). Work Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The timeframe can be affected by the weather and crop availability. Seneca provides safe working conditions, paid overtime over 40 hours per week, and hours may vary. The seasonal nature of our business often requires working overtime. Therefore, hours may fluctuate due to business necessities and meeting operational needs. Responsibilities: Unload, load, transfer, and stack brite or finished goods and supplies from trucks, etc. Interpret shipping order or receiving report to determine item to be (un)loaded. Ability to stack and unstack pallets of products in rows, and up to 5 high. Check product for quality, and proper shipping information. Daily inspection of vehicle before operating, corrects any low fluid levels. Track, input, change, and update data of inventory. Complies with proper weight distribution on rail cars and trucks. Ensure that GMP's (General Manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced. Maintains general housekeeping. All other duties assigned. Qualifications: Ability to read and write the English language Ability to pass the Seneca Forklift certification test. Basic knowledge of Forklifts. Good written and oral communication skills. Requires good judgement and decision making skills. 1 - 3 months of previous forklift experience helpful, but not necessary.
