Position Summary

The Senior Assistant Director will assist in the management of the career development process of students and alumni through individual coaching appointments, career-related presentations, and executing career development programming and events. In addition, the Senior Assistant Director will play a crucial role in the employer relations function, coordinating the accounting recruitment process for employers and students and contributing to the support of all major employer recruitment events. This position supervises all paraprofessional undergraduate and graduate staff. This is a full time 10-month position with a work period of August 1st

May 31st. Principal Duties And Essential Functions

Job duties specific to this position: Provide coaching and guidance in career planning and development to undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni in individual appointments Develop and initiate education and training programs for faculty, staff, and employers as partners in the career development of all students Coordinate the Career Peer Advisor program including recruitment, training, supervision, and on-going assessment of the program Supervise a graduate student during their practicum experience Serve on the Accounting Advisory Board and maintain relationships with accounting firms as well as other organizations looking to recruit accountants Support all campus offices in their recruitment of student workers through trainings and resource development Coordinate and assess the Dolphins GROW program focused on facilitating conversations between student employees and their supervisors to help students connect the skills and knowledge they are gaining in the classroom with the work they are doing, and vice versa Measure and track student and employer engagement and outcomes; suggest engagement strategies based on data Conduct career workshops and develop programming on various career-related topics Develop and support events to promote the services of our office to current and potential students and employers Work with a set group of employers to support their recruitment efforts at the College Develop, implement, and grade assignments in all introductory business courses that cover career-related topics such as resumes, interview preparation, etc. Serve on the Risk Management and Insurance Advisory Board and maintain relationships with the employers represented on the board Job expectations for all Le Moyne College employees: Demonstrates and role-models all of Le Moyne's mission-based competencies (collaboration, communication, diversity, integrity, leadership and service) in every interaction with all community members and external parties. Must complete all required federal, state, institution and department trainings. Engages in a planned program of professional development. Continually maintains skills and knowledge relative to the position and technology industry including best practice, evolving operational requirements, and industry trends. Performs a variety of related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree Required 5+ years of experience in college career services, human resources, social work, or related field required. Master's degree in counseling, higher education, social welfare, or a related area or similar related work experience preferred Experience working in a corporate setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communications and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands as well as the ability to change approach or method to best fit the situation Experience in planning and implementing programs, events, or conferences Demonstrated familiarity with the internship and employment recruitment process preferred Administrative experience with Handshake or a similar customer relationship management platform preferred Knowledge of college student development and experience advising undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni preferred Experience developing relationships with professionals through previous career services, sales, advancement, or related experience preferred Additional Information
