Sr Staff Agile Product Owner
The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Come be a part of our mission. Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Sr Staff Agile Product Owner to support a program out of our Aurora, CO location. This position will serve as in-ward facing technical planning/execution Lead who will be responsible for setting a strategic vision for the technical execution of the program and serve as authority over the programs technical roadmap and closure of epics. Job responsibilities: Represents Product Management and the voice of customers on the Agile development team. Collaborates with Product Managers to define the work so that the integrated team can review, commit, and execute within a defined period. Prioritizes key areas of work during a program increment, ensures that the software development team understands the intent and requirements of feature and user story definitions, and that the team is aligned on all acceptance criteria. Represents customer interests and continuously dictates team backlog priorities. Works with internal team, providing guidance, support, performer and team feedback to stakeholders, and individual mentoring as needed. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 14 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D with 10 years of relevant experience Active Top Secret/SCI required at time of application 3+ years' experience working in a software Agile delivery framework leading cross-functional teams. 3+ years of experience with product lifecycle for new and existing products (replacement for must have product development experience). Ability to understand wants vs. needs of internal and external stakeholders. 2+ years of product roadmap development experience. Experience converting technical and business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories. Ability to prioritize request by value delivery, not by urgency. Ability to pivot, maintain an open mind, and lead the product development team. Demonstrated communication skills and visionary on business, user experience, and technical sides of product development. Preferred Qualifications:
Product owner certification or any other major Agile certification. Experience in holding mapping and/or product discovery workshops with stakeholders and development teams for backlog generation. Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira and Confluence). Experience with both COTS solution and custom application development. Salary Range: $188,200.00 - $282,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
