The Sr. Consumables Equipment Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and sustaining mechanical and semi-automated test fixtures and equipment that support our R&D and qualification testing efforts. This position offers the opportunity to learn and develop semi-automated fixtures and tools, including PLC and control systems. This position reports to the Engineering Technical Team and is part of the Consumables Engineering Team located in Sunnyvale, California, and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Design, build, and continuously improve mechanical, electro-mechanical, and semi-automated test fixtures and equipment. Develop and implement SOPs and maintenance protocols to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to define fixture requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Partner with external vendors for equipment sourcing and integration. Manage spare parts inventory and implement cost-effective improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. The essential requirements of the job include: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in fixture-building and fabrication Familiarity with DOE (Design of Experiments), validation protocols including IQ, OQ, and PQ Proficiency with Auto CAD and or Solid Works Proficient in data analysis using Minitab or similar statistical tools. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience working with a variety of sensor technologies. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
