Principal, IT HCM Functional Lead

BWXT is currently seeking a Principal, IT HCM Functional Lead for its Lynchburg, VA location or remote! The IT Human Capital Management (HCM) Functional Lead is responsible for collaborating with Human Resources (HR), Payroll, and other business function teams to streamline business processes, optimize the use of business information systems, and plan/develop/execute the overall HCM roadmap. This role will support ongoing system and solution enhancements and develop solutions to increase business process efficiency. This role will collaborate and lead initiatives with responsibilities including process improvement, design and development, testing and validation, user training, and documentation. The role will engage and collaborate with external vendors and systems integrators. The role will work closely with internal users and stakeholders to identify and understand functional or business requirements and to solve complex business problems that enhance the organization's administrative capabilities and business processes. The functional lead will be a hands-on leader and practitioner to facilitate teams. Duties / Responsibilities: Business process streamlining Solution design Leading teams Communication Training Meeting facilitation Data integrity Technical leadership Business requirement collection System optimization System design Quality assurance Team management External partner coordination Collaboration Project management Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills / Abilities: Experience with HR/HCM systems, timekeeping, payroll systems, and ERP including SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Workday, AutoTime, and Jamis Hands on experience with HR/HCM and Payroll information systems Experience capturing business requirements, developing solution designs, planning and conducting data migrations, information system harmonization, and portfolio shaping Strong understanding of project, portfolio, organizational change management, waterfall, and agile project management techniques Experience participating with PMO, business steering committee, or similar governance models Excellent in preparing technical and executive level presentations and diagrams Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship
