Maintenance Engineer

Duties: Major job functions include: preventative and restorative skilled maintenance of various machines and equipment including boilers, mechanical, electrical, water, HVAC and plumbing repair; complete repair requests for assigned areas including repair of wheelchairs, beds, light fixtures, etc. Reports and records information pertaining to preventative maintenance; upholds facility policies and procedures; and all other duties as assigned. The position is M-F with on-call responsibilities on a rotation basis. Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma; Second Class boilers license or higher; a minimum of two years building or plant engineer or maintenance experience. Must possess a valid MN driver's license. HVAC certificate or degree highly preferred. Must be knowledgeable in the areas building maintenance systems, HVAC controls, electrical and plumbing systems, and industrial kitchen equipment repairs. Knowledge of and the ability to make repairs and adjustments to pneumatic and large mechanical equipment as well as various mechanical equipment. Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations. Ability to work in an environment where the residents' safety is always under consideration.
