Outpatient Laboratory Services Manager

The Outpatient Laboratory Services Manager oversees the daily operations of the outpatient laboratory service locations of Saint Francis Healthcare System, ensuring quality laboratory services and a high level of patient care. This role includes managing outpatient laboratory support staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements for Point of Care testing and specimen collection processes, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and overseeing operational efficiencies to meet organizational goals. The Outpatient Laboratory Services Manager ensures specimen integrity, accurate test results, and a safe, efficient work environment by collaborating with clinic and laboratory staff and leaders. Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field required. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Management preferred. License/Certification: Certification by a recognized professional body (e.g., ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) preferred. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role required. Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, equipment operation, safety standards, laboratory information systems (LIS), and laboratory accreditation requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.). Experience managing budgets, staffing, and operational processes in a healthcare or clinical laboratory environment.
