Project Manager
Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Energy-Electric sector. The Project Manager will oversee and lead electric underground distribution projects to ensure the safety and reliability of power delivery. This role involves developing strategic plans, managing budgets, and overseeing both internal and external resources. The Project Manager also handles risk management, project scope changes, and maintains effective communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience leading electric distribution utility projects. This work is critical in protecting customers and enhancing the safety of electric systems against wildfire risks and maintaining reliable power delivery. Responsibilities
Provide overall project oversight for electric distribution infrastructure projects. Lead coordination and performance monitoring across project teams. Manage project plans, program budgets, schedule, resource planning, and portfolio risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with client stakeholders to align project priorities and resolve escalated issues. Identify, monitor, and assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Assigns tasks, sets priorities, and monitors progress to ensure project milestones are met. Track and report on key metrics such as cost, schedule performance, and project readiness. Develops and maintains accurate documentation, including program procedural documents and project specific documentation such as contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders. Identify process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and mitigate wildfire risk. Identifies opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings. Ensure compliance with utility standards, regulatory mandates, and public safety requirements. Qualifications
2-3 years of project management experience in the Electric distribution utility sector required Direct experience managing wildfire mitigation projects required (e.g., system hardening, undergrounding, vegetation mitigation) Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred PMP certification or equivalent training preferred Advanced knowledge of utility construction methods, permitting processes, and regulatory environments Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Proficiency using Primavera P6, Power BI, MS Project, SAP, and portfolio reporting tools and portfolio reporting tools Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Pay Range: $104,000 - $166,000 per year Work Environment: Hybrid 3-4 days in the field and office in the Los Angeles, CA area Travel: Up to 60% travel to project sites Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check Our Company
