Position Overview Job Title: Executive Sous Chef Location: 3001 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 Availability: Open to work various shifts (must include weekends and holidays) Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. The Executive Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations for our property, including our signature restaurant, rooftop dining, banquets, and room service. This individual must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and a strong leader who inspires creativity and upholds culinary Job Functions: Assist in directing all culinary operations including prep, production, presentation, and execution across all outlets Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure standards are consistently met Monitor food costs, labor, and inventory control Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and special event execution Serve as acting chef in the absence of the Executive Chef Qualifications

Qualifications: High school diploma, GED certification Experience in a hotel or related field preferred. Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills. Customer Service Skills required. Brand systems knowledge preferred 3+ years of culinary management experience in a high-volume hotel or resort setting Strong knowledge of upscale dining and banquet operations Proven leadership and team-building skills ServSafe or equivalent food handler certification Passion for food quality, innovation, and guest experience Why Work with Us?
