Lug Maintenance Technician

What you'll do: Stocks, sets up, operates, services, and maintains unit consisting of press, dies, lugger, lining machine, pack station, and auxiliary equipment and tools; operates oven Gets material from staging area; load materials; inspect, gauge, weigh, and pack products and materials; take full skids to staging area; remove scrap and inferior quality materials; keep accurate inventory of all supplies, tolls, and materials Performs preventive maintenance; lubricates, makes adjustments, clean and clean units, remove and replace parts as necessary; performs housekeeping; resolves cap handling/movement jams; provide, empty and transport (inside or outside) scrap containers; monitor temperature controls, speed Perform daily maintenance check on power truck Performs setups; develops and updates training materials, trains new employees (on job or classroom instruction); completes NCMR; conducts and/or participates in safety reviews (JSA, ASI, SOP's); takes measurements and records data using statistical analysis methods; provides relief for other technicians The individuals in the classification will be a self-managed work group with respect to allocation of task assignments, problem solving, communication among group and shifts, and interface with management.
