Director Of Marching Band In The Department Of Music
Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for teaching/directing all ensembles related to the RiverHawk Marching Band Responsible for organization, administration, and development of the marching band program (including drill writingpreferred although not necessary, supervision of students, travel, equipment/inventory management, and budgeting) Provide leadership of the marching band including music selection, and/or arranging; field show design; and supervision of Student Band Staff Keep current with development in the discipline; mentor and support students; be accessible outside of classrooms and rehearsals Coordinate with the Athletic Director and Football Coach for use of athletic facilities for practice Collaborating with the Director of Band in the overall administration of the university band program Qualifications: Master's degree in music or music education required 3 years of teaching experience preferred Demonstrated success working with athletic/marching bands Application Materials: Letter of Application Curriculum Vita / Resume Teaching Philosophy (1 page) List of Professional References Link to marching band shows both in performance and rehearsal Annual salary $15,000.00.
