Mechanical Process Engineer

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The Mechanical Process Engineer functions in a mid-level engineering capacity and must have an aptitude for practical engineering, a willingness to immerse one's self in the position and rapidly learn the business, ability to work with little supervision, have strong leadership skills, and be willing to travel periodically. The position is located in Lenexa, KS or Oak Ridge, TN. Responsibilities

Design & Analysis:

Perform piping analysis for new-generation nuclear and DOE projects. Code Compliance & Review:

Interpret and apply relevant code requirements. Coordination & Communication:

Interface with systems, structural, piping design, and support design teams. Project Management:

Manage workload to meet project deadlines and commitments. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical, Structural, or Aeronautical Engineering). Experience:

510 years of experience in nuclear power plant design and/or modification projects. Technical Skills:

Proficient in AutoPIPE piping analysis software. Soft Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
