Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor In Education

Alfred University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Education to begin no later than August 2026. We seek an education generalistprepared to teach in some of the areas listed belowfor a growing program in Teacher Education. We seek an educator committed to excellence in the field of teacher education who will help students connect theory and practice in the classroom and who brings a current understanding of pedagogical best practices. This position provides opportunities to mentor graduate and undergraduate students and to expand our programs in Early Childhood/Childhood Education. Salary: $53,000-$66,000/Academic Year, depending on experience/rank. Responsibilities: Teaching courses in one or more of the following areas: Childhood/Early Childhood Education Teaching Methods (all subjects) Inclusive and Special Education Classroom Technology Literacy Supervision of practicum and student teaching Pursuing an active program of scholarly inquiry Advising and mentoring students Engaging in service to the Education Division, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the University, our community, and the profession Requirements: Earned doctorate desired, ABD considered (for Instructor rank) PK-12 classroom teaching experience Student Teacher Supervision Desired Background: Special/Inclusive Education Experience with AAQEP Accreditation Application Process: Review of applications will begin August 25, 2025.
