This job is a member of the Mortgages team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for supervising a team that handles pre-closing, closing, funding and post-closing mortgage loans for the purchase or refinance of real estate. What You'll Do
Support closing department staff Provide backup to staff, as needed, for seasonal fluctuation in volume Handle escalated member requests Handle escalated closing attorney and title company requests Handle escalated issues with document preparation law firm Assist with temporary and new employee onboarding and training Assist with system testing needs Conduct interviews and employee reviews, as needed Back up Mortgage Processing Manager, as needed Assist in pre-close QC validation process, as needed Assist with monthly invoice reconciliation Perform other duties as assigned Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends Ability to travel as needed The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: High school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent mortgage closing experience Previous mortgage closing/funding operations experience Experience with Episys and Mortgage Cadence Skills, Licenses & Certifications: Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software Knowledge of RESPA guidelines and department functions Knowledge of mortgage processing lifecycle in general as an industry and specifically how AACU operates Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and multi-task with attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency Skilled in mathematics and analytical ability Ability to interact with third party providers Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to demonstrate stringent time management skills Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff and collaborate with multiple departments Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends Ability to travel, as needed Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks What You'll Get
