Cloud Architect Sme
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cloud Architect SME to assist with the implementation of a Zero Trust Architecture Air Force and other military IT infrastructure. This position will be located at Langley AFB, VA and will be an onsite position. Responsibilities
Designs and develops network and system architectures, and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements. Develops network and system element architecture and design and interface definitions. Defines network and system implementation approach and operational concept. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future network and system development. Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer. Interfaces with the user(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine their needs. Generates the highest level of requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule. Performs cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components. Designs and develops solutions to applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Develops partitioning algorithms (and other processes) to allocate all present and foreseeable requirements into discrete partitions such that a minimum of communications is needed among partitions, and between the user and the system. Qualifications
High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience Clearance Required: Top Secret w/ SCI Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure) with deep architecture knowledge. Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems. Security best practices in cloud environments (IAM, encryption, compliance). Preferred Skills and Experience Familiarity with managing and optimizing cloud spend. Proficiency with tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes. Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Company Overview
