Senior Associate Director, Reporting And Analytics
Reporting to the Director of College Relations Data Services, the Senior Associate Director of Reporting and Analytics plays a key leadership role within the College Relations division, responsible for designing and executing data strategies that support fundraising, constituent relations, and alum engagement. This position leads the development of reporting and analytics tools to inform decision-making, drive performance, and optimize fundraising activities, promoting a data-driven culture and collaborating across teams to support strategic priorities. The Senior Associate Director will also play a pivotal role in the College's ongoing CRM conversion project, involving a transition from Colleague Advancement to Salesforce and Kindsight with a planned go-live in October 2025, including the implementation of CRMA (Salesforce CRM Analytics) for reporting and visualization. Key Areas Of Responsibility
Data Strategy and Leadership Develop and implement reporting frameworks to support strategic planning, campaign tracking, prospect management, and alum engagement Serve as a data advisor to College Relations leadership, interpreting trends and recommending actions based on insights Reporting and Visualization Design and manage a suite of reports and dashboards using CRMA as well as Salesforce reporting, to monitor and measure fundraising and engagement performance to support management decision making Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, gift officers, and engagement staff Oversee development of external reporting such as industry reports for CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), including CASE Insights on VSE (Voluntary Support of Education) Collaboration and Project Management Collaborate across College Relations, the Alum Association, and Communications and Marketing teams to identify data needs and reporting priorities Manage data-related projects, including campaign readiness assessments, donor segmentation, and predictive modeling initiatives Monitor and coordinate workflow of report and information requests. Delegate tasks as appropriate, reviewing work to ensure accurate information is delivered while meeting deadlines Train and provide feedback to staff on report creation; train end-users in self-serve reporting functionality in CRMA and Salesforce Team Management Supervise one reporting and analytics professional Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field Five to seven years of experience in data analytics, advancement services, or a related field Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills Ability to think strategically and advance strategic vision for reporting and analytics in collaboration with leadership Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of non-technical constituents in an approachable and professional manner Proficiency in Excel and visualization software High-level knowledge of constituent databases, workflows, documentation, and quality control Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing fundraising and reporting standards (CASE, FASB/GASB, etc.) Propensity for attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to perform with independent judgment and discretion while balancing competing needs Demonstrate flexibility and resilience while meeting tight deadlines Experience developing in business intelligence tools, such as CRMA (preferred), Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos Preferred Qualifications
Background in higher education with knowledge of fundraising practices and metrics preferred; may be substituted with equivalent or similar experience in a non-profit or business environment Experience with fundraising CRM systems, Salesforce Proficiency in SQL Hiring Range: $106,419 - $119,424 What We Offer
