Board Of Professional Engineers And Land Surveyors
The Board shall regulate the practice of professional engineers and land surveyors. The Board shall consist of seven members of whom four shall be professional engineers licensed in the District in various disciplines, two shall be land surveyors licensed in the District, and one shall be a public consumer member. Professional engineers must be licensed in the District of Columbia and "qualified to practice engineering by reason of special knowledge and use of the mathematical, physical, and engineering sciences and the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design, acquired by engineering education and engineering experience". Land surveyors must be duly licensed in the District of Columbia and have professional and life experience as a licensed land surveyor in the District.
