The Facility Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems and equipment. This role supports a safe, clean, and efficient working environment by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs across the facility. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues. Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects. Assist in facility upgrades, renovations, and space planning as needed. Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and place orders when necessary. Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including snow removal, storm cleanup, and power outages. Education and/or experience: High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills for logging work orders and maintenance records. Valid driver's license (if applicable). Language skills: Ability to read, comprehend and dictate simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information verbally and physically at different levels of comprehension in one-on-one and group situations. Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms. Other skills & abilities: OSHA certification or knowledge of workplace safety standards. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. Ability to be on your feet all day.
