The Automation Developer Analyst - Senior for the Commercial Technology team will provide automation solutions for applications encompassing both test and task, driving projects to delivery with automation and assisting in automation of both data & environment. Responsibilities include: Planning, integration, testing, scripting, and execution of all testing to ensure proper coverage. Scheduling and leading test deliverables review sessions as necessary. Working on multiple projects/systems as a project team member and being a subject matter expert for a single project/system. Collaborating with Business, BSA, and Development teams in the analysis, review, and translation of functional requirements to ensure testability, coverage, and to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives. Creating and maintaining test cases and test data using test automation tools. Participating in the review of architectural and technical design specifications. Writing, reviewing, and maintaining automation test scripts in RubyMine and other automation tools. Working with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage. Identifying any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalating potential quality issues immediately to management. Assigning defect severity and managing defects throughout the project. Performing all aspects of verification, including integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing. Developing and implementing well-defined test plans. Creating test status reports per project guidelines. Creating test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readiness. Creating and facilitating review of the Test Strategy with the project team. Collecting testing sign-off from all testing participants, including cross-impacted application teams. Collaborating with the delivery organization to ensure maximize efficiency in the use of software delivery tools and processes. Actively participating in product design discussions to gain deeper understanding of the systems being created and modified. Analyzing metrics and identifying opportunities for corrective action. Designing & maintaining automation scripts for task delivery, which include reports, data management, and environment setup. Working under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and problem solving. Providing mentorship to junior team members as needed. Understanding and following the project lifecycle methodology consistently. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 3+ years of automation experience with industry standard testing/development and quality assurance methodologies and validation processes. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in Quality Center / Team Foundation Server with defect tracking, document management, and knowledge base systems. Proficiency in using testing tools (Microsoft Test Manager), query experience with (SQL Server) and Internet Technologies (different browsers, HTML, JavaScript, etc.), RubyMine, Ruby/Cucumber, Microsoft Test Manager, SOAP UI, Mainframes. Knowledge of ATDD & TDD. Must have experience in building automation script using Cucumber or Specflow. Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming, preferably Java or Ruby. Strong aptitude in both business and technology. Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships. High motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Willingness and drive to learn and understand detailed software solutions.
