Wastewater Treatment O&M Technician

The Wastewater Treatment Facility O&M Technician regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility as directed by the Plant Manager and Lead O&M Technician. This position will be located at the new Wright City WWTF, which utilizes a highly automated, 4-stage Bardenpho (w/Sidestream Treatment) Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) process. Monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, adjusting as necessary to control the operation. Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties. Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties. Monitor the operations of a new highly automated wastewater treatment facility and its auxiliary systems. Sample, measure, and test plant values such as pH, temperature, solids concentration, levels, and others; make corrections and adjustments; collect required samples for on and offsite analysis. Test, monitor, record, evaluate, troubleshoot, and adjust the operation of plant emergency generator and auxiliary equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures. Work around high voltage and rotating equipment. Performs related work as required. Schedule:

Friday, 7:30am- 4:00pm. Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the demands of the wastewater system. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position. Availability for standby duty and the ability to be "on-call," working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Response to emergency events and alarm callouts required as scheduled and required. On Call: On-call, incentives offer $200 for the week you are on call (this is on a rotation). Compensation for being on call is 2hrs minimum paid for each call out received. What Will You Need To Succeed?
High School Degree or Equivalent. Valid Missouri Driver's License required. CDL preferred. Willing to obtain a State of Missouri Class "C" Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license. 1-2 years. Being able to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as following safety procedures. Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment. $25.50 - $28 an hour Depending on qualifications & experience.
