Field Superintendent
ACTION is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead environmental remediation and construction crews on high-impact project sites. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee field operations, ensure safety compliance, and manage crews and equipment to successfully deliver on Environmental and Remediation projects that meet our clients' toughest standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Always maintain safety standards and requirements Perform and supervise others in various tasks such as: Heavy equipment operation, clear & grubbing, excavation, grading, backfilling etc. Dewatering & treatment systems installation and operation. AS/SVE & various other treatment system installations
PVC & HDPE pipe. AST and UST removals & cleaning. Excavation shoring
slopping, sheet pile, trench box etc. Site restoration
asphalt, concrete, fencing, sod/seed, etc. Manage subcontractors and vendor deliveries Coordinate with project managers to schedule labor, materials, and subcontractors Assist in the inspection of equipment, tools, and general work area Read plans, specifications, works orders and collect all basic equipment to perform tasks Complete all appropriate paperwork Additional duties as assigned Experience and Skill Requirements: A strong commitment to safety Highly motivated individual demonstrating self-initiative 10+ years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation and crew supervision Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings, surveys, construction drawings and specifications Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Adobe) Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred, not required Willingness to travel and work flexible hours (including some nights/weekends)
