Are you fluent in CPT codes and speak fluent EOB? So am I. As a go-to expert in all things billing and reimbursement, I manage the full life cycle of insurance claims and account resolutionkeeping our revenue cycle healthy and stress-free. What I Do:
Own the
daily billing and collections process , making sure claims fly out the door correctly the first timeand payments don't stay stuck in limbo.
Track, monitor, and reconcile
accounts like a detective, using payer portals, billing systems, and a whole lot of follow-up.
Master the world of
Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance , and special programsturning confusing denial codes into opportunities for payment.
Provide
top-tier customer service , because patients and payers deserve clarity, kindness, and timely responses.
Use
independent and critical thinking
to tackle billing puzzles and resolve claim hiccups before they become major issues.
Act as the
team's go-to resource
for third-party billing questions and payer quirksbecause no one has time to be on hold with an insurance company all day.
Work across multiple platforms (Excel, Outlook, EMRs, and more), all while juggling compliance rules, federal guidelines, and internal protocols.
Tools of the Trade:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
10-key calculator skills (fast and accurate)
Strong knowledge of
payer manuals ,
billing workflows , and
claim codes
Clear communication (written and verbal) and an eye for detail
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of hands-on experience in
professional or insurance billing
Familiarity with
commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement
practices
Solid working knowledge of
reimbursement comment codes
and
payer provider manuals
Comfortable with computers, including
Excel, Word, Outlook , and 10-key entry
Extensive knowledge of
third-party billing procedures
and a passion for getting claims paid right
