Workstudy Position: No Job Type: Regular Work Shift: Not specified Sponsorship Available: No Institution Name: University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College Department: Practical Nursing Summary of Job Duties: Participate in the interview process for the Director of the LPN program and LPN faculty Review all program documents for the Technical Certificate LPN and if needed, make recommendations for improvement Review past Arkansas Board of Nursing accreditation reports and documents; make recommendations for improvement; assist Dean Johnson and nursing faculty with the Summer 2024 accreditation report and site visit Review physical facilities and classrooms associated with the LPN program and if needed, make recommendations for improvements Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty (with Dean Johnson's assistance) to write ACEN eligibility, candidacy, and accreditation self-study report Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty through ACEN site visit in Spring/Summer/Fall 2026 (not sure when just yet) Mentor nursing faculty to shift from clinicians to academicians Meet regularly (virtual) with nursing faculty about classroom management, pedagogy, and student learning assessment and occasionally conduct classroom observations of teaching; if needed, make recommendations for improvement Meet regularly with Dean Johnson to review program progress (recruitment, retention, pass rates, employment) and if needed, make recommendations for improvement Miscellaneous items as needed to expand, accredit, and sustain LPN program excellence Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing 5 or more years' experience in undergraduate nursing education programs 5 or more years' experience in the nursing field Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience Required Documents to Apply: Resume Optional Documents: Special Instructions to Applicants: Recruitment Contact Information: LaTosha Moore-Harris HR Specialist lmooreharris@uaptc.edu Pre-employment Screening Requirements: Criminal Background Check, Motor Vehicle Reports Check, Sex Offender Registry Constant Physical Activity: Hearing, Manipulate items with fingers, including keyboarding, Repetitive Motion, Sitting, Standing, Talking, Walking Frequent Physical Activity: Grasping, Pulling, Pushing Occasional Physical Activity: Feeling, Reaching Benefits Eligible: No
