The Cloud Engineering organization is actively looking for a leader for the Microsoft Azure Cloud team. Do you like to solve challenges and have an interest in large scale impact? You will be leading the global Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineering team working to enable critical use-cases as well as improve foundational cloud computing capabilities for Lilly. Additionally, you will be working as part of the larger Cloud Engineering team on both the strategy for all cloud services offered to Lilly as well as public cloud financials. In this role, you will work closely with various teams and customers to ensure the reliability, performance, innovation and continuous improvement of our cloud services. This role will have the opportunity to lead a team working with the latest public cloud services. Our goal is to improve all aspects of our cloud services availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, new architectural designs, and observability improvements to prevent outages to help increase value across the organization. Be proactive: Transform our foundational and operations processes using proactive, predictive, and automated AI & observability capabilities. Be your best: Bring a high learning agility and a cloud technical background to help us enable the Lilly Technology strategy, identifying tech opportunities, and accelerate our cloud, AI, and automation journey. What you should bring: People management: Manage a high-performing geographically distributed team by challenging employees to continuously improve and deliver business-impacting results. Ensure individual growth through appropriate coaching, development, career planning, and talent identification. Cloud Platform Proficiency: Expertise in the Microsoft Azure cloud capabilities is crucial. This includes a deep understanding of cloud services, architecture, and best practices for deployment, scaling, and management. Automation and Scripting: Understanding in scripting languages such as Python or Bash, configuration management tools such as Ansible, and familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep. AI/ML Integration: Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tools and experience in deploying and managing AI/ML models in a cloud environment. Security and Compliance: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance standards, and best practices for securing cloud environments. DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. This includes troubleshooting and optimizing cloud infrastructure. Technical Leadership: Support enterprise grade infrastructure solutions and leading the deployment at multiple global locations. Cloud Financial Leadership: Oversee a public cloud financial strategy, manage and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud financials. Your basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure management. Demonstrated experience leading and managing operations of a global large-scale infrastructure service. Additional information: Hybrid role (minimum 3 days in the office) located in Indianapolis, IN (relocation required). Expected US business hours with team as well as after-hours support needs for evening and weekends, when necessary. Less than 10% travel. The anticipated wage for this position is $124,500 - $182,600. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
