Program Assistant
The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work seeks a Program Assistant to support the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs and assist with other clerical tasks within the Department. Tasks associated with this position will include: Maintaining student and program records (BSW and MSW), including records necessary for program accreditation and internship placements Coordinating program events; inputting and processing assessment data Communicating with internal and external constituencies, including print- and web-based communications and social media General clerical tasks Assisting Program Directors and Field Education Directors with development of accreditation, advising, and recruiting materials Inputting and managing assessment data for accreditation and reaffirmation reports Fielding basic inquiries regarding the BSW and MSW programs, including admissions; coordinating administrative aspects of admission processes Maintaining records relevant to field education (e.g., agency agreements); maintaining student admission, advising, and field education records Processing professional development expenditures, including travel authorization and reimbursements, for Social Work program faculty Updating the Social Work web page Providing admin support for Social Work events and Social Work faculty searches; and managing the schedule for the Social Work conference room Other responsibilities may include assisting with department-wide faculty development and student success initiatives and events as needed During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with diverse students, faculty, staff and community members, and will approach this position with creativity and initiative. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva (or other graphic design platforms), applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workday) and student learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) preferred. This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a "Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University's Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
