Saturday, Frequent opportunity for overtime FB Timberline is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician/Wireman (full-time, permanent) to support our team and their operations on various projects based out of North and South Carolina. Out-of-state candidates will be eligible for a 30/7 (30 days on, seven days off) rotation. The Journeyman Electrician/Wireman is responsible for installing, commissioning and testing primary and secondary power equipment in the field which includes maintaining medium to high-voltage substation power delivery equipment such as breakers, switchgears, circuit breakers, relays and transformers. Saturday Frequent opportunity for overtime Family orientated working environment Opportunities for career growth and development Key Responsibilities: Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day Use wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screwdrivers, tee square, machinist square, tape measure, wrenches and pliers Follow company established practices for wire termination, routing, bundles, wire harnesses and wire numbers Wire complete panels per drawings including back panels and wiring between devices/ components Mount electrical components including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, input/output devices and/or all other related switchgear electrical devices Electrical part installation such as: relays, meters, switches, etc. Wiring: Anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, push buttons, flagging, & wire tagging Crimping and Wire/Cable Stripping Acceptance and maintenance testing of electrical equipment Installation, commissioning and maintenance of protection and control equipment in medium to high-voltage transmission substations Interpret blueprints, analyze test reports and recommend corrective actions Work with high voltage equipment such as Circuit breakers, transformers, switches and control circuits for protection, indication and monitoring systems Supervise, mentor and train junior technicians Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments, when needed Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned What We Are Looking For: Minimum three (3) + years of electrical experience is required Valid Journeyman certification is required Demonstrated knowledge of hand, electric, air tools and some vibrating tools is required Conscientious, thorough, accurate and reliable when performing and completing job tasks Ability to read prints including: specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-line drawings, wiring lists, and part drawings Able to work effectively within the team and around other departments and their activities Able and willing to present a valid CDL and acceptable drivers abstract Able and willing to travel to various works sites as per project/job needs Disclaimer: As per client/site requirements, candidates may be required to undergo pre-access screening FB Timberline is a subsidiary under the Forbes Bros USA Inc. umbrella.
