Your Mission:
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer III to join a team supporting data analytics development. This developer will work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, design and deploy advanced analytics, and create solutions that automate and enhance data and metadata analysis across multiple tools.
You will excel in this role if you are:
Fluent in Java and comfortable writing complex code to automate analytical queries Able to translate analyst needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions Comfortable working directly with analysts and stakeholders Interested in developing analytics that summarize, enrich, and transform raw data Experienced building solutions that support real-time or batch search operations Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, mission-focused environment A day in the life consists of:
Collaborating with analysts to understand operational goals and data artifacts Designing and deploying Java-based analytics to automate search and data workflows Leveraging multiple data sources to enhance understanding of user activities Enriching and summarizing data for downstream analytics and decision making Delivering scalable, reusable code that meets mission performance standards Iterating quickly based on real-world analyst feedback Must haves:
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant SWE experience) Strong Java development skills Experience with Pig, Query Time Analytics, and artifact-based development Comfortable working closely with analysts to define, iterate, and deliver solutions Nice to have:
Familiarity with corporate tools and data repositories Programming experience with Python Experience developing analytics across multiple large datasets Background in automating search patterns and intelligence workflows Understanding of data enrichment and metadata structuring techniques
