Introduction About the Position If you are looking to work with a great team that values you, then join the City of Scottsdale! The Human Resources Department is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to play an integral and highly trusted role on the team. This position is responsible for updating and maintaining sensitive employee-related data and systems to include accessing and updating databases; generating queries and reports for customers; troubleshooting and resolving issues; defining, developing, and documenting technology processes; contract compliance for the citywide applicant tracking and performance management software modules (NEOGOV); and providing internal customer support for SaaS products. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Director and works collaboratively with the Information Technology Department, Payroll and other department stakeholders.

The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency and have recent experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) server to include TSQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)/PowerBI and SSIS development. Provides software and limited technical hardware support to users to improve and enhance computer systems to meet specific business needs. This position works independently, but mostly in a team environment. Work includes assisting users with the support of hardware, software and mobile communications systems. Assists users in problem analysis and provides advice leading to improved productivity and better integration of technology into their business operations. Experience supporting Human Resource Department business processes and systems and/or experience supporting Human Resources with implementation of new systems working with technical vendors is preferred.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $109,324.80/annually.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution. Five years of experience directly working on computer-based information systems' software, and programming/scripting languages in support of medium to large enterprise applications. Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted. Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
