Designer - Furniture Division
AOI is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Designer to join our Furniture Division, where we specialize in creating thoughtful, functional, and inspiring environments for clients across a wide range of industries. As the exclusive MillerKnoll dealer in the state of Nebraska, AOI offers our designers access to world-class products, tools, and resources to bring high-impact spaces to life.
This position is ideal for a design professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to installation. You'll collaborate closely with account managers, clients, and internal teams to deliver customized solutions using industry-leading furniture systems and ancillary lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and present furniture layouts, space plans, and visual design solutions using tools such as AutoCAD, CET Designer, and CAP. Manage design projects from field measurements through final installation. Interpret client needs and translate them into functional, creative, and cost-effective design proposals. Work collaboratively with account managers to support business development and client engagement. Apply deep knowledge of MillerKnoll systems and ancillary furniture to deliver innovative, well-integrated solutions. Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and new product innovations. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in commercial furniture or interiors. Strong working knowledge of space planning and furniture specification software. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
