Technical Support Specialist

These technologies are used by customers to improve operational efficiencies, enhance product quality, protect plant assets, minimize environmental impact, and create cleaner and safer environments. This position is responsible for providing technical support to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will conduct chemical testing, interpret results, and collaborate across departments to maintain production and quality goals. This role supports health, safety, and environmental initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities:
Perform testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Adjust production batches as needed based on analytical results, in coordination with R&D and Regulatory teams. Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures. Support production teams by ensuring products are manufactured according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and quality requirements. Maintain accurate documentation by recording data, issuing non-conformance reports, and entering results into SAP and other systems. Conduct and document internal audits (GMP, ISO 9001/14001) and assist in preparation of Certificates of Analysis (COAs). Assist with environmental and regulatory compliance efforts, including waste minimization and proper handling of discrepant materials. Participate in training and support of lab and production personnel on lab procedures, equipment usage, and quality standards. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to support continuous improvement. Flexibly adapt to shift changes to support business needs, including vacation coverage and unplanned schedule changes. Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education Preferred: Bachelor's in Chemistry or related science with minor in Chemistry OR experience may be substituted for education Minimum Experience Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a Quality Control environment within a GMP regulated facility Experience with IR, UV/VIS, Moisture Analyzer Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally Employee must use and maintain their PPE and follow Area specific PPE policies and rules.
