Advancement Student Assistant
Provide excellent service to customers (students, faculty, staff, and community members) who visit the office. Performs routine office tasks as assigned, such as filing, processing mailings, making copies. Oversees cleanliness and organization of office. Answer phones and take efficient messages. Checks and responds to emails and messages. Assist with coordination of special events, orientations, workshops and seminars. Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor. Available to work Monday to Friday, 25 hours a week. Willing to work Museum Hours (Saturday 2-5pm). Knowledge of modern office procedures - telephone communications, office systems, record keeping, filling systems, and strong typing skills. Ability to perform basic math and basic knowledge of statistical analysis and knowledge of composition, grammar, and a variety of communication styles. Ability to communicate both simple and complex messages. Knowledge of both personal computers and apple software as well as strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite
Excel, Publisher, and Word) Knowledge and use of public relations and customer service as well as the ability to negotiate with vendors and clients. Ability to focus on details and think creatively. Two years of office experience. Experience using two major computer applications, PC and mac. Must be reliable, accurate, flexible and work well both independently and as a team player. Experience in coordinating and planning activities. Must be a registered student at La Sierra University. Wage Range: $16.50
