Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Vice President of Educational Development & Employee Engagement who will lead the Educational Development and Employee Engagement teams, focusing on enhancing team member satisfaction, organizational development, and training. This role will drive strategies that align with the mission and vision of Redwood Credit Union (RCU), supporting a high-performance culture that fosters employee empowerment, growth, and an exceptional team member experience. The VP will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that RCU's workforce is engaged, developed, and aligned with organizational goals. Essential Functions: Leadership & Strategy Team Management Training & Development Employee Engagement & Culture Program & Budget Management Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience in strategic management, particularly in a distributed workforce setting. Extensive knowledge of training, organizational development, and performance improvement principles. Highly skilled in designing and delivering training to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and front-line staff. Strong leadership abilities to influence and motivate team members at all levels. Demonstrated expertise in project management, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. Ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with individuals across the organization. In-depth understanding of strategic planning related to organizational development. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Proficient in using office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and understanding of HR systems. Ability to analyze business problems and opportunities, proposing and implementing effective solutions. Ability to engage in verbal/written communication with individuals at all levels of the organization. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. This position requires occasional travel to other office locations, and some evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines or attend events. Certifications and Licenses
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, instructional systems design, communications, human resources or similar, with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in a financial institution and minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience. Compensation: Base starting range: $170,961 to $188,988 annually. Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
