Responsible for leading crew related cross-functional initiatives, driving decisions and monitoring implementations of solutions. Works closely with leadership and the product teams to establish project needs and deadlines while also coordinating activities among various stakeholders. Manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, and deliverables Develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling to set and manage quality targets Creates long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines Tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track Establishes data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and provide frequent reporting updates Facilitates meetings, records minutes, follow up on actions taken, and logging of issues/risks Builds compelling presentations used to obtain alignment on key initiatives Effectively communicates status to stakeholders including various levels of leadership Tracks and updates Product Objectives and Key Results to ensure priorities are aligned with the business needs Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training 5 years' experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, and effective delivery of products. 1-3 years supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization Experience working with Agile methods and tools Experience with Azure DevOps. Skills, Licenses & Certifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire Stakeholders High degree of organization, initiative, and personal accountability Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and various levels of leadership Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment Knowledge and experience with the Agile framework Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to be flexible and capable of adapting to constant change Ability to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment Ability to work in a stressful environment Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
