Staff - RN - Ortho - Nights
The Orthopaedic unit is located on the 4th floor of TMC's tower. It is a 40-bed post-surgical inpatient unit. All of the rooms are private rooms with picturesque views. The majority of the patients we care for have elected to have their surgery: hip, knee, shoulder, spine, or ankle. The patients admitted to Ortho post surgically are overall healthy, motivated to recover, and progress rapidly. The average length of stay is two to three days. We work collaboratively with our Orthopaedic surgeons, hospitalists, case management team, and therapy team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction as well as to enhance the patient experience by placing the patient in the center of our care. Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills in order to maintain patient safety and well-being. Shift Information: 3x12 Night Pay Range: $36.00 to $52.00 (Salary will be commensurate with experience.) Bonus Information: Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program. Experience: One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting. Licensure or Certification: Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Some departments such as OR, Ambulatory Surgery, Pediatrics/PICU, PACU, and GI Lab will require advanced life support certification (ACLS and PALS).
