As a Principal Implementation Architect at Karbon, you'll be the technical lead responsible for building and delivering technical implementations after the sale. You'll transform scoped requirements into a migration plan including document management systems like Google Drive, SharePoint, Dropbox, and other practice-critical tools. You will build a team around you to support this work. You'll collaborate closely with Engineering, Implementation Managers, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless onboarding experience that meets each customer's unique technical needs. As a Principal Implementation Architect You Will
Scope, build, and deliver technical migrations, particularly around DMS and workflow-related systems. Create lightweight tooling (using APIs, scripts, or no-code platforms) to support tactical, high-impact migrations. Develop a repeatable migration playbook, including templates, timelines, best practices, and customer-facing resources. Partner with Engineering and Support to ensure technical soundness, scalability, and support pathways. Serve as the technical escalation point for post-sale data or configuration challenges during implementation. Identify patterns in customer migration needs and scale delivery capacity by hiring or contracting future specialists. Collaborate with Sales Engineers, CSMs, and Implementation Managers to ensure clear pre-sale scoping and smooth handoffs. About You
3+ years of experience in a technical implementation, integrations, or solutions delivery role Comfortable working with REST APIs, JSON, and modern web technologies Experience with migration from document management platforms (Google Drive, Dropbox, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) Experience with migrating from a variety of accounting and practice management systems, including CCH, Wolters Kluwer, Intuit, Xero, Sage, IRIS, or other proprietary tools with limited export capabilities Familiar with middleware tools (Make.com, Zapier, Tray.io, etc.) Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally with CSMs, Engineers, and customer stakeholders Passion for action - you love helping customers get to "done" Bonus Points If You Have
Experience in accounting/tax software or practice management tools Knowledge of OAuth2, SSO, and common SaaS authentication models Light scripting or automation experience (Python, JavaScript, etc.) Worked in a scaleup or customer-centric SaaS environment Why Work at Karbon?
