Swing Stage Scaffold Foreman (Suspended Scaffolding)
Richmond, VA, USA 25-30 per hour Hourly Full Time Job Overview: As a Swing Stage Scaffold Foreman, you will lead a team of swing stage erectors in the safe installation, dismantling, and maintenance of suspended scaffolding systems on a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial job sites. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, ensuring all crew members are performing their duties in line with company and manufacturer standards. In addition to on-site responsibilities, you will oversee operations and logistics at the warehouse, including equipment inspections, repairs, and preparation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily operations of swing stage erection and dismantling at job sites. Lead and mentor a team of erectors, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently. Conduct and document pre-job safety meetings and ongoing jobsite safety checks. Ensure compliance with all OSHA, manufacturer, and company safety regulations. Act as the primary point of contact between field crews, project managers, and clients. Review job site plans and specifications to determine scaffold design requirements. Mobilize and coordinate movement of equipment and personnel from site to site. Perform quality control checks and inspections throughout project stages. Oversee loading, unloading, cleaning, and repair of swing stage equipment in the warehouse. Provide training and guidance to new or less experienced team members. Report job progress, issues, and completion to supervisors and upper management. Assist with scheduling, logistics, and inventory control for swing stage materials and equipment. Minimum Qualifications: At least 18 years old. 2+ years of experience in swing stage or suspended scaffold erection; prior leadership experience preferred. Physically capable of lifting and safely handling 75 lbs. Comfortable working at heights greater than 100 feet. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong understanding of scaffold design, installation, and safety standards. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred (no DUI or reckless driving in the last 5 years). OSHA 10/30 certification a plus. All candidates must pass a drug test, criminal background check, and E-Verification of work eligibility in the U.S. Working Conditions: Extended periods on rooftops and exposed to weather conditions. Frequent work at significant heights (100+ feet). Requires lifting, bending, and physical labor for extended durations.
