Manager Of Business Development And Capture Management
BAE Systems is hiring a Manager of Business Development and Capture Management to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Manager will serve as the Business Development Lead for all precision guided munitions and directed energy weapon systems. The role will drive pursuits and capture efforts for new and existing opportunities to mature and expand the portfolio. This position can be based out of Falls Church, VA or Minneapolis, MN. This role will be hybrid where you will work onsite on average 3 days each week. There will be up to 50% of travel. Responsibilities:
Develop an intimate knowledge of the products that the business offers to relevant customers. Grow the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as new customers. Develop strong relationships and work with product area leadership. Develop recommendations on the prioritization and resourcing of pursuits and capture efforts. Support Program Directors in the development of orders forecasting. Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits. Maintain close customer relationships with all relevant customer stakeholders. Assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers. Support capture efforts. Support the creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies. Inform Bid and Proposal, Internal Research and Development planning, as well as overhead budgets. Provide written and verbal reports. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Secret Security Clearance Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance Ability to travel up to 50% Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience Experience in Business Development, Capture Management, Strategy, or related Experience in Defense / Government Contracting Knowledge of munitions, guided munitions, directed energy weapon systems, or similar products Ability to support short-term and long-term strategic planning Ability to conduct market, competitor, customer, and industry analytics and research Ability to develop reports and presentations Ability to collaborate cross-functionally Proven ability to operate effectively independently and in ad hoc teams Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills Excellent communication skills Strong active listening skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Top Secret Security Clearance Bachelor's of Science Degree Master's Degree in Technical field or MBA Experience in precision guided munitions, missile systems, and/or directed energy weapon systems programs Familiarity with various contracting methodologies Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
