Benefits include: Paid training Medical, dental, & vision 401K plan with up to 6% employer match Paid vacations and holidays Growth opportunities Shift premium Health and wellness programs Commuter van service/RIPTA Tuition reimbursement programs Safety boot reimbursement program Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of foundations, structures, bulkheads, frames, components and deck packages Developing a working knowledge of structural weld joint fit-up/weld symbols, burning and grinding operations Aligning parts in relation to each other using jacks, clips and wedges through use of blueprints and templates Tack-welding structural parts as required Utilizing hands and power tools in the steel fabrication trade Ability to read and interpret written policies, procedures and guidelines as work assignments will be accomplished using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, and shipyard procedures Basic mathematical ability This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. Qualifications

Required: High school diploma/GED OR a minimum of 2 years related technical experience Relevant shipfitting metal fabrication, carpentry or formal training Available to work all shifts Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required Ability to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools Preferred: Steel fabrication or carpentry experience Experience working in the construction industry or a manufacturing environment Basic mathematical skills Vocational, technical and community colleges or apprentice programs Military/Navy experience Skills
